This Cookie Policy explains how ESPLENDORCO S.A. DE C.V. ("Esplendorco", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on esplendorco.com and in our web application (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly.

This policy concerns the cookies we set in the Esplendorco website and merchant dashboard. It does not govern the end-customer conversation data that we process on behalf of merchants, which is addressed in our Privacy Policy and in the relevant merchant agreement.

What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. We also use similar browser storage technologies, such as local storage and session storage, which let our application keep information on your device (for example, to keep you signed in). In this policy, we refer to all of these simply as "cookies". Cookies may be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (retained for a defined period or until you delete them).

Who sets cookies

Most cookies we use are first-party cookies set directly by Esplendorco. A limited number may be set by trusted service providers that operate parts of our infrastructure on our behalf (for example, our application hosting and our authentication and database provider) strictly to deliver and secure the Service. These providers act as our processors and are described, together with our sub-processors, in our Privacy Policy. We do not permit these providers to use such cookies for their own advertising purposes.

How we use cookies

We use a limited set of cookies, grouped as follows:

• Strictly necessary cookies (always on). These are required for the application to work and cannot be switched off. They support authentication and session management (keeping you securely logged in), security and abuse prevention, load balancing, and remembering essential preferences such as your language. Without these cookies, services you request cannot be provided. We set these cookies on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a secure and functional Service, and they do not require your consent.
• Optional analytics cookies (off until you agree). Where enabled, these help us understand how the application is used so we can improve reliability and usability, for example by measuring which features are used and diagnosing errors. We use this information in aggregate and do not use it to build advertising profiles. These cookies are set only with your consent and can be declined without affecting your access to strictly necessary functionality.

We do not use advertising cookies

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not place tracking cookies from advertising networks or social media advertising platforms on our site, and we do not use cookies to profile you for targeted advertising.

Consent for non-essential cookies

We set strictly necessary cookies without asking, because they are required to deliver the service you request. We only set optional analytics cookies with your consent. Where consent is required, we ask for it before any non-essential cookies are placed, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

The way we obtain and honor your choices may vary depending on your location and applicable law. As a company based in El Salvador, Esplendorco is governed primarily by Salvadoran data protection law; in addition, because EU- or US-based merchants may install our Shopify app, we also take into account the GDPR and UK GDPR (which require prior consent for non-essential cookies) and the CCPA/CPRA and other applicable laws (which give you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information). Because we do not use advertising cookies and do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, no such sale or sharing takes place; where required, we also honor opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC).

How to control cookies

You have several ways to manage cookies:

• In-app preferences. Where available, you can accept or decline optional analytics cookies, and change your choice later, through the cookie or privacy settings in the application.
• Browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies and clear local storage through their settings. You can usually configure your browser to warn you before accepting cookies or to reject them automatically. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the application from working, including keeping you logged in.

Declining or deleting optional analytics cookies does not disable strictly necessary cookies, which remain in place because they are required to provide the Service. For help managing cookies in your specific browser, refer to that browser's help documentation.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or for legal or operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
